The truth is many people, even in small groups, fear public speaking – they freeze, they ramble, they speak too quickly – I’ve seen it all! Like anything, speaking confidently to an audience takes practice, but it’s a whole lot easier once you’ve learnt some key tips and tricks.

This course is a series of workshops covering everything you need to know about becoming an awesome presenter and delivering a powerful presentation. It’s hands-on, which means you’ll practise what you learn through doing – yes, you’ll get plenty of opportunities to practise speaking in a safe and supportive environment, both in prepared and impromptu situations. Every week you’ll take away loads of useful tips, comments and suggestions.

You’ll be rocking the stage and the boardroom in no time!

 

We’ll also cover how to deliver effective online presentations, especially as we’re now communicating more and more in a virtual world. You’ll learn how to stand out as a professional online presenter and how to keep your audience focused on you and your message.

During the course you’ll learn how to:

• conquer your nerves, fear and anxiety to deliver with confidence

• plan, design and prepare, with a focus on outcomes and audience needs

• develop high impact strategies like storytelling, analogies and evidence to gain audience attention and make an impact

• deliver a memorable message long after your presentation is over

• connect with your audience and be clear about what you want them to do

• handle questions and speak confidently in prepared and impromptu situations

• discover the best tips and tricks to rehearse, so you are natural on the day

• implement advanced tips, tricks and techniques to run effective video conference calls.

Workshop length – 2 hours/week over a six-weeks period. Maximum eight people.
